Second Haeger machine doubles insertion capacity
HSM invested in a second Haeger machine which has doubled our insertion capacity. This additional machine has enabled us to keep up with the increasing number of orders coming in, the volume of which has grown year on year.
We recently hosted a training day at our Havant factory, with Press-Form Machinery Engineer Brett Roberts attending to deliver refresher training to our staff to ensure optimal use of the machine.
We purchased our first Haeger from Press-Form Machinery back in 2020, and reached out to them again in 2023 to enquire about a second. Press-Form’s Sales Manager, Ryan Strafford, visited our factory and quickly established that a Haeger 618MSPe-5 would be best suited to the application.
Equipped with a multi-station platform and Insertion Logic 5 software, it reduces the handling time of each part and increases productivity through single-part handling. With four stations allowing four different tools to be set up at one time, the Insertion Logic software changes the insertion force depending on the station, keeping insertion forces accurate and consistent.
Ryan said: “With the Insertion Logic 5 software, all the guess work is taken away. It automatically changes the insertion force depending on the fastener being inserted. Anybody can use the machine, load the job and the pressures are set, accurate and consistent from the first install to the last."
