HSM team attends DSEI 2025

A team from Havant Sheet Metal attended DSEI 2025 last week to touch base with valued customers and view the latest technology, which was showcased at this prestigious event.

The show, which is held every other year, brings together the global defence and security community to collaborate, innovate and connect. The 2025 exhibition was held  from 9-12 September at Excel, London, and hosted over 1,700 exhibitors and 60,000 visitors. The 2027 event is already scheduled for 7-10 September 2027.

DSEI UK is considered the gateway to the defence sector, so any companies operating within this industry are likely to benefit from attending. The event offers unparalleled networking opportunities, an abundance of business development possibilities, and a chance to experience the latest innovations through live demonstrations and hands-on interactions.

The show is structured into eight zones to make finding what you’re interested in simple. These include Aerospace, International Pavilions and Participating Countries, Land, Manufacturing, Medical, Naval, Space and Tech. Each zone houses its own exhibits, features, conference theatres and networking opportunities.

The theme for DSEI 2025 was ‘Preparing the Future Force,’ reflecting the evolving needs of the UK's defence sector in an increasingly complex global landscape. Launched by UK Chief of the Defence Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin KBC ADC, the theme highlights the importance of preparing our Armed Forces to meet future challenges.

There were also three key sub-themes behind DSEI 2025:

  • Securing Advantage - focusing on agile acquisition and supply chain security.

  • Driving Advantage - recognising the digital transformation as a force multiplier.

  • Maintaining Advantage - the importance of workforce management & talent acquisition.

The event was attended by HSM’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Carl Benfield and Operations Manager, Tony Molloy.

Carl said: “We took the time to catch up with a number of our customers who were exhibiting at the show. It was also great to see the products on display - we’ve made parts for some of these and it’s amazing to see the finished result. The latest, state-of-the-art military hardware from all over the world was on display - real cutting edge stuff - and it was fantastic to see.”

Attending events like this highlight the importance of the parts that we fabricate for the defence sector, and how much the precision and exceptional quality - which we demonstrate in all our work - matters to the finished products.
